Welcome to Springfield


Springfield is a GREAT town! Some say the town is small, but don’t be fooled, it is has so much to offer! A variety of restaurants, many parks, baseball, soccer & football fields, including 2 turf fields, one cannot go hungry or be bored here.  Springfield is home of Baltusrol Golf Club, famous for hosting 2 PGA Golf Championships & 7 U.S. Opens.

Any history buff would be amazed to learn the Battle of Springfield was fought in town between the American Continental Army & British forces. Reenactments of this infamous battle take place on grounds close to the original sites.  The Cannon Ball house still stands today.

With its 2 Elementary Schools, Middle & High Schools within walking distance to most families, an excellent education is offered to all.  We even have a Farmer's Market during the summer months.  The town hosts street fairs & car shows during Spring & Fall.  

A recreation department offering a variety of sports & activities from the young to the elderly.  

Location, location, location is key when living in Springfield.  The town has close proximity to major highways including route 78 & Garden State Parkway.  NJ Transit bus to NYC or a 20 minute car ride. 



The Town

With a population of just over 14,500 residents, Springfield Township offers a lifestyle close to parks, shopping, restaurants and family entertainment. Many people move to the small Springfield community because of the beautiful homes and the quiet small town atmosphere.

The History of Springfield NJ Real Estate

Legend has it that the soldiers in the Revolutionary War, led by the first Commander-in-Chief, President George Washington, fought back the British army in a critical battle in the area of current Springfield in July of 1780. The town was burnt to the ground with all but four houses left standing.

Parks and Recreation

Springfield township is a community with charm. If you or your family like outdoors then this is the place for you with access to 12 parks, such as, Black Brook Park, Cedar Briant, Echo Lake, Esposito, Green Park, and Madison Avenue Park, to name a few. Children can play soccer and baseball while parents hit the jogging trails.
